The IBEW New England and CWA District 1/IBEW Local 2213 Regional Bargaining Committee continued to meet at the Rye Town Hilton in Rye, NY working to develop several comprehensive proposals. That work is expected to continue for the remainder of this week and into next week. The Committee is studying data, provided through information requests, that will allow us to formulate proposals that will best fit our needs. We will be looking to increase work in the bargaining units and build protections around our existing work. This is a slow process, as there is a large amount of data to work through.
The Regional Committee extends its condolences to our brothers and sisters in CWA Local 1109 in Brooklyn, on the tragic job related accident today, which claimed the life of local 1109 Field Technician Doug LaLima. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brother LaLima’s wife and family at this difficult time.
